SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — Central Payment today announced that it has made a $25,000 corporate contribution to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford as part of its newly announced corporate philanthropy program.
Central Payment, a transaction card processor founded in 2006, was recently recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the nation’s fastest growing companies. “Philanthropy is very important to us,” says Matthew Hyman, managing partner. “At this stage of our lives, we are fortunate enough to have the ability to fund and to positively impact deserving nonprofit groups.” Central Payment’s generous sponsorship will provide important resources for special events organized by the Hospital’s Child Life Department, including a Halloween Party, a Holiday Classic, a Spring Outing, and a Summer Party. The events program will be named in honor of Barry Pham, a former patient who passed away after a courageous battle with leukemia. “These special occasions provide a welcome relief from the rigors of daily care for our patients and their families,” says Colette Case, Director of Child Life and Family Services. “We are grateful for Central Payment’s commitment to supporting Packard Children’s Hospital.”
The Central Payment contribution is a two-year grant from the Company’s corporate social responsibility fund. Central Payment has also announced that at the beginning of each calendar year, it will select four to six organizations to receive official corporate support and contributions. In addition, the Company has established a matching contribution process by which it will make commensurate donations, subject to approval by management, for contributions made by employees and sales partners. “Through our support of the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, we are calling attention to a very worthy cause and stressing to all of our employees and sales partners that the act of giving is vitally important,” says Hyman. “The matching donation program is another way that we reinforce the importance of financial support for nonprofit organizations.”
