PALO ALTO, Calif. - On Friday, September 24, Simon Fashion Now will bring the excitement of a runway show to stylish Silicon Valley shoppers in a spectacular event benefiting Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford.
Simon Fashion Now kicks off Friday at 11:30 a.m. with a catered luncheon, runway fashion show presented by Nordstrom, and silent auction. KGO-TV anchor Carolyn Johnson will emcee the event and attendees will receive grab bags of complimentary fashion and beauty items provided by shopping center vendors. Tickets are $100, and available online at supportLPCH.org/fashion. The fashionable fun continues with Trends & Friends Night, an evening of fashion and bites beginning that evening at 5 p.m. in the Center Pavilion. Participating retailers will offer exclusive deals, samples, and product demonstrations, with tasty fare and wine tasting provided by Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.
“We have an extraordinary shopping and style experience lined up for this season’s Simon Fashion Now, enabling our shoppers to get an up-close, multi-faceted look into this exciting world of fashion,” says Julie Kelly, director of marketing and business development at Stanford Shopping Center. Thanks to the generosity of Simon Property Group and its retail vendors, all proceeds from ticket and auction sales will support Packard Children’s Hospital.

The concept of Simon Fashion Now was conceived through grand opening events at properties like The Galleria in Houston, TX, The Forum Shops at Caesars in Las Vegas, NV, and The Domain in Austin, TX. Through the success of these events, which became fashion focused in 2003, Simon decided to take the events national and Simon Fashion Now was introduced. The contemporary program was designed to make the runway relevant for the everyday fashionista. Spring 2010 stops included The Westchester in White Plains, NY; La Plaza Mall in McAllen, TX; The Fashion Mall at Keystone in Indianapolis, IN; Lenox Square in Atlanta, GA; The Domain in Austin, TX; and The Galleria in Houston, TX.
