Pediatrics
“What drew me to medicine, and pediatrics specifically, was my interest in preventive care.”
I always knew that my calling was to take care of children. Even in my youth, I gravitated toward roles where I could work with younger people. Seeing the world through the eyes of a young person makes everything much more hopeful.
What drew me to medicine, and pediatrics specifically, was my interest in preventive care. It’s so meaningful to me because making healthy choices now can affect generations of people. And then there is the love; witnessing the amount of love that goes into the parent-child relationship is at the heart of my career. It is really special to be part of that family experience.
From the day a baby goes home from the hospital to sending them off to college, I get to go through all of those big life stages with them. I want to meet each family where they are and help them make informed medical decisions.
