Notice of West building lobby closure at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford
After checking in for your child’s infusion, you will be shown to a recliner where your child will receive their infusion. Your child will be assigned a nurse who will make sure your child gets their infusion safely and comfortably.
A parent or guardian should stay with your child during the infusion. Due to space constraints, we recommend limiting the number of siblings or other family members present for the infusion.
We can provide games or art supplies to help pass the time. Our clinic also has child life specialists, who use a combination of education, support, and therapeutic play (including music and art therapy) to help your child feel at ease during their visit. We encourage bringing snacks to keep your child comfortable throughout the infusion.
