The Stanford Medicine Children’s Health Pediatric Neuromuscular Diseases Clinic is composed of a dedicated team of experienced neuromuscular specialists who work together with families to provide world-class care and access to cutting-edge research. We also offer education and community-based resources for the entire family. Because of our affiliation with the adult clinic at Stanford Health Care, we are able to provide these services throughout a patients’ lifetime.

Our treatment services include:

• Physical therapy
• Occupational therapy
• Speech and language therapy
• Cutting-edge pharmacological treatments such as Spinraza and Lumizyme, when appropriate and available
• Exondys 51
• IVIG (intravenous immunoglobulin)

Our diagnostic services include:

• Electromyogram (EMG) and nerve conduction testing (using sedation, if needed)
• Genetic counseling and genetic testing
• Autonomic disorders lab
• Muscle biopsy
• Nerve biopsy
• Skin biopsy
