Pediatrics
“My overarching philosophy is that if it is important to the parent, it is important to me.”
There is a long history of medicine in my family. I'm the fourth generation of physicians in my family, so I grew up seeing what an incredibly fulfilling career and lifestyle this could be. My family exemplified the kind of doctor I aim to be: compassionate, collaborative—someone with whom you can have a real conversation.
I love working with kids and families. Every day in pediatrics is exciting and fun. It's so rewarding to watch a child's brain work and develop. I enjoy getting to see them hit all their milestones and learn new things; that's a very special and exciting part of being a pediatrician.
My overarching philosophy is that if it is important to the parent, it is important to me. I've found that paying attention to what the family is concerned about is a great way to establish good patient/physician relationships and foster trust with our family members. Ultimately, those relationships with the children and their families are what really keeps me going and gets me excited to come into the clinic every day.
